  1.     Add NIS+ Server
  2.  
  3.     This window allows you to configure NIS+ master servers or NIS+
  4.     replica servers. Note: NIS+ is only supported on Solaris 2.4 or Solaris
  5.     2.5x.
  6.  
  7.     Server Type
  8.  
  9.     Use this toggle to specify what type of NIS+ server to configure, a
  10.     Master (the default) or Replica server. If you set this to be a
  11.     Replica server, the window will be redrawn to show the Replica server
  12.     fields.

  14.     Master Fields
  15.  
  16.         This window has the following fields:
  17.  
  18.         NIS+ Master Hostname
  19.  
  20.         Use this field specify the hostname of the NIS+ master server.
  21.  
  22.         NIS+ Domain Name
  23.  
  24.         Use this field specify the domain name for the NIS+ master server.
  25.  
  26.         NIS Compatibility mode
  27.  
  28.         Use this toggle to specify if this NIS+ should be made backwards
  29.         compatible with NIS. The default is Yes.
  30.  
  31.  
  32.         Server root password
  33.  
  34.         Use this field to specify the root password for the NIS+ master
  35.         server.
  36.  
  37.         Admin members
  38.  
  39.         Use this field to specify which users are allowed to administer this
  40.         NIS+ host. Leave a blank space between names for multiple entries.

  42.         Import Data from
  43.  
  44.         Use this toggle to specify if any existing imported data should come
  45.         from the servers' /etc files or from an NIS server. The default is
  46.         /etc.

  48.         /etc pathname
  49.  
  50.         You can only use this field if you set the Import Data from field to
  51.         /etc files. If so, you can use this field to specify these files'
  52.         pathname.

  54.         NIS domain
  55.  
  56.         You can only use this field if you set the Import Data from field to
  57.         NIS. If so, you can use this field to specify the domain name of the
  58.         NIS server from which to import the data.

  60.         NIS Server
  61.  
  62.         You can only use this field if you set the Import Data from field to
  63.         NIS. If so, you can use this field to specify the hostname of the
  64.         NIS server.

  66.     Replica Fields

  68.         NIS+ Master Hostname

  70.         Use this field specify the hostname of the NIS+ master server.

  72.         NIS+ Domain Name
  73.  
  74.         Use this field specify the domain name for the NIS+ master server.

  76.         Replica Hostname

  78.         Use this field specify the hostname of the NIS+ replica server.
  79.  
  80.         Replica Server root Password

  82.         Use this field to specify the root password for the NIS+ replica
  83.         server.

  85.         NIS Compatibility mode
  86.  
  87.         Use this toggle to specify if this NIS+ server can also interact
  88.         with NIS servers. The default is Yes.

  90.     Buttons (both types of NIS+ servers)

  92.     This window contains the following buttons:

  96.     Click on this button to add the new NIS server shown in the window.

  98.     Clear Fields
  99.  
  100.     Click on this button to clear the existing choices in all fields.

  104.     Click on this button to discard any changes and close the window.
